• Ms. Louis-Jeune authored a brief that was the subject of a New York Law Journal article regarding the collection and use of electronically seized data in criminal cases. That brief resulted in the suppression of two search warrants in a homicide case in New York County.

 

  • Ms. Louis-Jeune and Mr. John Kaley represented a juvenile faced with the possibility of being tried as an adult in federal court for attempted murder.  After extensive mitigation work and hearings, the Court found that justice would be best served by denying waiver to adult status.  Ms. Louis-Jeune was honored to have the opportunity to help change the course of one young man’s life.

 

  • Ms. Louis-Jeune co-authored a brief in support of overturning the conviction of Jon-Adrian Velazquez, who was wrongly convicted of murder in 1998.

 

  • In the matter of United States v. Gioeli, Ms. Louis-Jeune hired and oversaw several attorneys with the review of decades of wiretap recordings prior to the trial, which concluded with the acquittal of Mr. Gioeli on six counts of murder.
